Knowing isn't the problem, Doing is
"Common knowledge" sounds like something everyone does. It's not. Most people know exactly what they should do, but they don't do it. Not because they're stupid. Because action is inconvenient. Because it's boring. Because nobody's watching.
You think understanding is progress. It's not progress—it's preparation for progress you'll probably never make.
Stop confusing consumption with transformation
Nobody grades you on what you know. You're judged by what you actually do when it's hard, when it's tedious, when nobody will notice either way.
Want to be a good listener? Shut up when it's your turn to speak. Want to lead? Take the blame, give away the credit. Want to be creative? Try things that won't work and feel stupid doing it.
That's not inspiring advice. That's the price of admission.
Face what you've been avoiding
There's nothing wrong with not knowing, but knowing and not doing? That's the tragedy.
Most problems you face have obvious solutions. The hard part isn't figuring them out—it's admitting you already know the answer and haven't acted on it.
Solutions aren't your problem. Excuses are.
Stop reading. Start doing.
